Asheley Martino

Hygienist

Born and raised in Bend, Asheley loves taking advantage of all that Bend has to offer. Whether it’s boarding Mt. Bachelor, hiking Broken Top, skateboarding, or fishing Paulina – the outdoors is her favorite place to be. She also enjoys being a mother to her 9-year- old son, Avryn. With a passion for art, Asheley first pursued a degree in graphic design. As time passed, she realized that she wanted to do something in science, later earning her
B.S. in Dental Hygiene. What she loves most about being a hygienist is helping people. Her compassion to help others has taken her to the Mission of Mercy clinic in Portland, to the 1,000 Smiles Campaign in Negril, Jamaica, and now back home to Bend where she gets to sit chairside with others that share my love for this lovely mountain town.

Julie Nicholsen

Office Manager

Julie began her career in dentistry in 1990, making this her 27th year in the profession. Julie LOVES dentistry and wants people to know that going to the dental office can be a fun and positive experience. She has a kind heart and wants to help people who may have previously had a bad experience. She knows that it doesn’t have to be that way anymore, and she makes it her mission to change those people’s opinions of dentistry. Julie and her family moved to Bend in 2005. It was her love for the outdoors that brought her here, and she has been loving it ever since. Julie and her family love hiking with their German Shorthair dog, Sadie. And, now that her kids are all grown-up, Julie and her husband have started to travel, and that’s her new passion!

Bonny Winsor

Receptionist

Bonny is definitely a local Bendite. She was a actually a student of the St. Francis school, which is now known as the location of the McMenamin’s pub. Growing up in Bend, she remembers thinking that Bend was a pretty
special place. She still feels the same about this small town, and she loves the growth and all the people that comes with it. Bonny says that it is because she is people person. She loves to meet new people and hear the stories of how they got to Bend. Bonny is the mother of two teenagers and two small dogs, and she adores all four! In her spare time, Bonny loves to hike along the river trails and dine out at Bend’s great restaurants! Bonny’s professional background was in the medical field at St. Charles Hospital before she took some time off to raise her children. When they were a little older, Bonny wanted to get back into healthcare. She was a patient of Contemporary Family Dentistry for more than 8 years; so when we were looking for a receptionist, it only made sense to get her on our team. Bonny is happy that she accepted the position, and she reports that she likes her job because she enjoys working with the exceptional group of ladies in our office!

Jeanette Durante

Dental Assistant

Jeanette Durante, also known as Nettie by her good friends, has lived in Central Oregon for more than 21 years and loves the fact Bend offers such a warm, welcoming, honest home town feel that reminds her of Southern Texas where she grew up. Nettie likes that there is always something to do in Bend, no matter what time of year it is. She enjoys the outdoors and particularly enjoys boating, hiking, and camping around the wonderful lakes and parks surrounding Bend. Her husband, David, along with her children, Matthew and Jeffery, and her 5-year- old granddaughter, Cassandra, keep her rooted in Central Oregon. Her family would not be complete without also mentioning her 14-year- old Black Lab, G-boy, her 7-year- old German Shepard, Jessie, and her 3-year- old German Shepherd, Georgia. Nettie has been a dental assistant for over 24 years, and she still takes great pleasure in educating her patients on dental care and seeing how happy they are with their new smiles.
